Hi Guys,

If youre thinking of coming to this can you let us know. The weather for the weekend looks good, and we're happy to run, but we can only do this if we get enough people.

Many Thanks,

Matt

Hi Guys,

Numbers are low for this Saturday, we have a couple of options -

Run if we get 25+ confirmed entries.

Run a club meeting in the evening - 4pm - 9pm for this we would need 15+ entries.

Or not run at all.

If I can ask that you respond by 12pm tonight and we'll make and publish a decision by morning.

Many Thanks,

Matt.

Matty,

Why all this pre book & notify malarky all the time? Can't you just run when you announce races and see who turns up?. Can kinda understand for big meetings but normal club type meetings it puzzles me.

Some days we get 30+ some days we only get 15 at SHRCCC, but we run regardless as its easy for people to know, we'll 100% be on and running.

Surely 15 people pay the bills?

Not a pop, just curious bud .

The grass track is a new venture, and as such there isn't scheduled race dates as it's all dependant on weather and numbers... with the summer we're having we're trying to squeeze in time on the grass track when ever possible.

People are giving up their own free time to prepare the track and run the meeting, and as such it doesn't make sense to go ahead with the meeting and 'see who turns up' if the initial interest isn't there!

If people aren't interested in racing on that particular day, can't make it or what ever reason they have then at least a thread like this will let Matty/Telstar know how many people he/they can expect at a planned meeting and proceed from there.

Think the current weather is making people decide at the last minute, including me !

An entry list so far in the first post would help as well ;-)

cheers

Hi mate,

Saturday's not a traditional day to run and we're looking to run an all day meeting, if the demands there we'll run. I'm only trying to get an idea as it takes a lot of prep time to cut the grass, and get everything ready.

I've got a young family, so the time taken to prepare the track cuts into family time and costs "Mrs Tickets". I enjoy running meetings, and everything associated with it, and I'm fotunate that people also give up there own spare time to help out.

A "Count me in" only takes a few seconds, even of that person can't then make it on the day for whatever reason.
