Stoke Nitro / Fastrax Summer Series Rd 5 16th September - 1/10th Electric Welcome.

Hi,

Booking in is now open for the penultimate round 5 of the Stoke Nitro/Fastrax summer series on the 16th September.

Over the past few months, the interest in 1/10th electric vehicles has increased within the club. We have 7 or 8 members who would like to run their, mainly 2wd, buggies at the next round.

To that end we have decided to open up the 5th round of the Fastrax summer series on the 16th September to the 1/10th electric classes. Both 2wd and 4wd are welcome at the event, which sees Stoke "Nitro" welcome electric 1/10th for the first time.

The club chairman did want to insist that all cars are fitted with a recording of a nitro engine and smoke machine but this has been deemed optional.

If this trial run is succesful, then it is thought that 1/10th may become common place at "Stoke Nitro/Lipo" Sorry couldnt help it.

The 1/10th class will race the full circuit, which over recent weeks has been tested for suitability for the smaller class.

At around 40 seconds per lap this should present a different challenge to the usual shorter 1/10th tracks.

The electric heat and final format is to be confirmed but drivers can expect practice, minimum 3 heats and at least 12 minute final with bump ups where numbers allow.

On a safety note, we would ask all electric vehicle drivers to ensure that charging is carried out safely and the use of Lipo charging bags is mandatory.
