Default Tempted by /12th

Ok, i'm tempted by 1/12th but confused by the classes. Superstox, LMP, GT12..any others i missed out on? I think GT12 is the same as superstox, and the price looks great, what are the downsides?

in the uk gt12 is a lower spec car than a lmp as in its a one piece chassis front to back with a pod on top, lmp is full blown pan car,
some outside the uk use lmp car and gt bodies, so check your area, supsastox is a model name of gt12 so schumacher made ths supastox, supastox gt and then the atom.

if you want some more info and have face book look gt12 circuit uk, lmp circuit uk

oh the downside............. its adictive and fun

Hey Bish,

Like Mark said, depends what's popular near to you! We've ran both GT12 and LMP since quitting the micro scene. I have to say, I'd recommend LMP to anyone. They are absolutely rapid and a lot of fun to drive. GT12 is also great, but I found it a little tedious at times.

Both great classes but LMP cuts it for me The extra downforce, grip and more tuneable chassis' makes them ace.

Ok, thanks for the assistance. It's a minefield of terminology - I was only aware that there was just 1/12th cars back in the day, adding LMP etc confused me!

Local store has an Associated RC12L4 for $80 I'm thinking it's a good starter car. What do you think? Racing on CRC black carpet.

Yea terminology has changed a little bit.

1/12th pan cars tend to be called LMP these days... the L4 seems ok for price... but you can pick pick up second hand Schumacher Eclipse/Roche P12/Xray X12/Associated R6 from £50-85. The L4 is a pretty old car and may not even have the configuration to take a lipo!
