Default First run

Had the first run today on a very bumpy and twisty track which stayed wet/damp all day (astro). Noticed better on power stability plus it landed flatter from jumps. Had no rear suspension brakeages even with a couple of heavy landings. As the new T piece is made with out the two vertical slot guides it did let in a bit of water under the battery but I can fix that. Hope to run next week at Shrccc which is a more flowing track. So far I feel it's a great up grade for any one.

Default St I'ves Weekend

Had a much better run the car at St Ives last weekend. Car felt great, plenty of steering and very balanced. The track had been relaid and had much more traction. Still managed to break a right rear arm. Did the same on the 502X as well. I now have 4 spare left rear arms!

The only improvement Exotek needs to make is to make the spacer shorter on the top shock mount. Its is too long and doesn't allow the use of the small metal nut. The nylon nuts kept coming lose and needed to be tightened after every race.

Ran mine again at the weekend on damp astro, no broken rear arms yet. Noticed better on power accletation on the dry parts of the track but it did seem to spin easer on the wet sections. Jumps very well and it's easer to control in the air and when landing as now it does not nose dive so much.

Default No broken bits

On Sunday 25 November 2012, I ran the 201 with the Exotek extended chassis and finished 3rd in the C Main 2wd Mod at St Ives, Sydney. This was an interclub challenge between 3 Sydney based, 1 Newcastle and 1 central coast club. So as a big as a meet gets in NSW, other than the State Titles and Nationals. As a born again noob to R/C off road, starting back earlier this year and this being my third run in modified, thought I did Ok!

I managed not break anything this time out. Here's some pictures of the Car.

I'll be fitting the new bulkhead before the next race meeting.

Out of interest does anyone know the overall axle length of the +8mm B4.1 vs the 201 with +8mm Exotek?
