Oh I see what you mean, I thought you meant Whiteley, and Witley was just bad spelling . Check out the website for some crude maps I knocked up, the link is on the 1st post of this thread.

Quick reminder about this great little club. To be honest we could do with a few more members so come and give it a try . First race day is free, you can't say fairer than that

I paid the club a visit today and had a blast.

The members are very friendly and the track is a real test, one of those that looks straightforward until you drive it and has a good selection of corners.

Come and have a go, there are no other permanent clubs in the area and it's only 10mins from jct10 of the M27.

I believe they run every Sunday - 9-1.

They have a website, google Titchfield Off Road Club.

The gallery is out of date though!!

I'm going back in Feb (lack of spare time), just hoping it's a bit warmer

Well I popped over this morning. The sun was shining down on us, nice track, not used to this posh astroturf though! Thanks to the guys for being welcoming. I gave the old Optima a run, but I think something slightly more modern would be appropriate. See you again no doubt.
Rich.

Guys, if you fancy it, why dont you apply to hold a regional events (or two) if you feel you and the track are up to it (even if you are not I am sure some of the other clubs around would be more than willing to help out)

You would probably fall into our region, which is the Chilterns Mid South which goes across to Swindon, up to Silverstone, back across to Stotfold and everything below and in between. Would be good to have another club around the area.....

That sounds like a great idea, not up to me though would have to check with the guys who run the club. Do you have anymore info on where i need to start looking to set this up? Do we need to be registered BRCA etc?

You would need to be a BRCA club, if you contact Keith Wardle from the stotfold club he would help you along since he is the BRCA rep for this region (Chiltern Mid South)

His email is keith@kwardle.com

Jeebus, I leave Oople for a couple of weeks, come back and find a mountain of people looking at coming down.

Torch did used to do an "interclub" thing many years ago, before I started though.

I don't think they would be up for it though tbh, but would like to be proved wrong.

Looks like numbers could be on the up, I just have to fix my Durga still.

Just a quick "bump" here.

I may be going to Torch tomorrow weather permitting, I'll be taking the Durga, also, the Slash, to see how it goes.

Any more Slash runners out there in the area? maybe get a class going. Good ol' close spec racing, could be fun

Cheeky bump guys. We have had a few new faces which is great, but now hopefully the weather is starting to turn for the better it is a great time to come and race. The track was bone dry last week and made for some good racing. I had no excuses for my driving

Hi,

I used to race at Titchfield about 15 years ago and I was up there the other week as I live in Locks Heath (Yellow Leon Cupra). Just in the process of putting a B4 together and then I'll turn up for some racing.

Any set-up tips for a B4?

I used to race a Schumacher Procat, Cougar 2000 and finally a Losi XX at their old site and the site before that.

Used to hang out with Gerald Page etc.

Prior to that I was racing with Chris Wilkinson's crew at Millbrook school.

Looking forward to getting this B4 running.

I too believe it needs promoting and I'd happily put the word out. I remember when we used to have 7 heats years ago. Back when Ron was there (RIP).
