being world champion helps your ratings as 'top driver'

I was in Finland at the "warm-up" race a week after some of the brits were there to practise. From my experience I don't think it was a waste of time. The track was a bit more tricky than the pictures show, at least I think so. As far as I know the track surface has been somewhat of a challenge. Originally it held up very well, but was very dusty. With some chemical assistance, the dust issue was almost gone, but the surface became very "rutted" at some places. I actually hope that the track will be bumpy, as we got our cars to work well at the race
bbq: can you msn me about some hotel "affairs"? If you are going by your self, it's possible that you can share a room with a Norwegian fellow. If it's not to "icky" Maybe we can save some money and be more.... social... hehe |

VERY IMPORTANT :- East Power 4200 cells. (Demon FIRECRACKERS)
EFRA have decided in the last few days that the version of this cell fitted with the BLACK fibre disc around the positive button is not allowed. The cell that was homologated has a RED disc and only RED disc versions will be allowed. I just bought some of these to take to the Euros - I will have to check which they are - otherwise I'm a bit stuffed. |

can anyone tell me why the one with a black disc is not allowed? if its just because of the color then its abit pathetic. I've not heard of any difference in the cells..
anyone? |

The way I understand it, the coloured disc is used to identify a slight difference in the cell while in the manufacturing process. Can't remember which way round this is, but one is High Voltage and the other is High Capacity.
And as the "red disc" version was submitted for homologation, it only that type that can be used within EFRA meetings |

It's funny how EFRA is trying to kill this sport every way they can. First 1/12th scale and now this.

jarkkom... It's not EFRA's fault, if the manufacturer had sent both samples for homologation in time, then there would never have been a problem. Rules are rules and other manufacturers manage to do things correctly.
Paul.... I think the BLACK disc version has been about in the UK for a while now. But again the RED disc version was the one originally sent to the BRCA EB for sampling. |

quite dissopointing like, I had a similar problem for the indoor finals.. but for a decision to happen so close to the euros is a real shame. I'd of thought they would have to had made decisions like this in good time for people to prepare them selfs.

I take it from your picture, that UC = Capacity and UV = Voltage., hense they are different cells internally.
