Default Problem with Orion R10 Pro speedo!!!

160amp 1-2s version. Been working great with my vortex 6.5 for months now, last night at the club, changed motors to an x12 6.5, raced one heat fine no issues. Decided to then change back to vortex 6.5. Same sensor cable and program profile. Using the sensor plug underneath at the back if the speedo, turned the car on to check, lifted the car a gave slight throttle all fine as should be, turned off and waitied for my race, put the car down turned on, no lights, fan running and steering working so plenty of power to receiver, but no throttle, nothing, changed sensir cables, tried plugging i to front sensor port, even tried plugging in the program box, but nothing, no lights no throttle, and the settings box doesnt come on. Even tried holding down the small reset button when turning on, but cant get into setup mode.

Has the speedo died. What would have caused this? Checked and rechecked the solder joints to the motor, even tried going back to the x12, but nothing seems to work on the speedo, thought it was just a faulty sensor cable but trying another one that i know works elsewhere still hasnt helped.

Any others ideas? The speedo has always be used carefully and has never overheated. Running on program mode 3.

Raymond

I had the exact problem on Tuesday night. Mine was a broken white signal wire from speedo to the receiver everything worked except for throttle/brake and like you tried to reconfigure. But soldered the wire together beat shrink tubing over the top and as good as new again.

Hole yours is as easy a fix as mine

Raymond when i ran the R10 i'm sure i had the same issue .
It was either a wonky sensor lead or a dodgy connector to the receiver.

Im sure the esc will be perfect though.

I'll need to have another look tonight, the cable to the receiver and the plug look ok, I'm unsure if I want to cut and rejoin the wire to the receive incase it doesn't make any difference, but I guess I might need to if everything else fails. Just don't know why all of a sudden changing motors has disturbed the wire to the receiver ?

When I refitted the vortex motor, it powered up fine and worked with the car held off the ground, then I turned it off, and back on again about 5 mins later to start my race, and thats when I have no lights and no throttle.

Does/did it work if you gave the car a push or the wheels a bit of a spin??

No, i'm getting no lights on the speedo when powered, although the fan spins. Hadnt had much of a chance in the last few weeks due to being away on holiday but need to give it another go see if i can work out the issue.
