Thumbs up Academy SB V2 (EX TEAM VERSION)

I have an Ex Academy SB V2 Team Buggy

V. G condition

It has all the bells and whistles, and upgrades over the Pro Version.

These Include:

Fibre Light Chassis and Top deck
Carbon Shaft
Associated Shocks front and back, with upgraded metal shock caps. Upgraded Heavy duty driveshafts front and back
Aluminum A mounts Both Rears
Metal One way Unit

Spares Include:
3 x C-hubs NIP
Gearboxes
Bulkheads NIP
Front Hubs x2 NIP
Rear Hubs x2 NIP
Aluminium A mounts X2 NIP
Steering linkages
Spare Chassis and top deck (carbon composite, used to give more flex over the carbon version)
Outdrives front and back
Diff pulleys
Shock Towers

Wheels and tyres (Ballastic buggy)

Shell and wing included.

Also comes with Core RC Hard Cased Lipo (3250mah) worth £50, fits straight in with battery strap.

Looking for around £200, would cost around £350+ new

If anyones interested i'll post pictures on request

Only selling it due to concentrating on Touring cars, was planning to do the buggys, but just cant afford to keep both running.

Realy? Why is this...just beacuse there not as well sort after as something like a Asscoiated with there B44's

What sort of realistic figure should i be thinking of then.

I realy dont see why not though, seeing as the Academy SB V2 PRO is $300 without all the extra stuff i have.

Pro Version below, but i have a team version which is even better!!!

I'm actually a regular Touring Car Driver, but just drifted into Off-road for something on the side, but its going to be a packed summer in Touring cars with Nationals and Regional Events etc, so i havent got the time to do any off-roading.

I don't think it's that bad To be fair I think DC racing has some stock of parts ,I read on here some were. And I think Dom said parts were not to bad to get hold of.

DC RACING/DMS RACING stock all the parts for it you'll ever need for it, The list of DMS Racing is HUGE! and when there not in stock they order it straight from the supplier, and takes a maximum of 4 days.

And i have loads of spares with it, for whoevers interested to keep them going for a good while.

I agree with the fact that its not aswell known as the makes stated, but in my opinon the buggy can go just aswell as them, maybe better (in the right hands of course )

Just a shame i havent the time for it, as i would hang on to it.

Thanks for you input guys.

Guys,

You should look at the good points. Academy spares are the cheapest out there, and the car is just as good as any shaft drive out there, and this car has more features than the other cars. I am not a fan of shaft drives but if I wasnt getting a Tamiya 501x I would buy it. Maybe the guys on here who are slating it should look at what this car has, and then you may change your mind.

I know this is a for sale thread..... but James, the Academy is on a par with, erm... it has no equal, it has better brothers and sisters, but it isn't a patch on the likes of the HB, B44 etc etc.... honestly.

I wasnt slating the car at all... I am quite sure that in the right hands its as good as any other... but its simply not a sort after car...

No offence to academy as i think they are a fantastic manufacturer, and provide great cars especially for the money and people who want to get into rc and progress in rc.

However they havent the "pedigree" of others like associated, losi etc...

You are havin a laugh

What shaft drive is worse than it?

If this was any good dont you think they would have some decent drivers running it?

Could you please name the extra features that makes this a world beater or is it only belt drive cars that are quicker than it?

And i doubt ill change my mind

Well i think thats a load of old watsit.

Its just beacuse Academy dont have the drivers to promote the car, hence why the likes of Associated and Losi have a better name, therefore people say they are there better cars.

Its the same for Touring cars which i do regulaly, Andy Moore goes and wins the worlds with the HB Cyclone, and then suddenly its the best car out there, and therfore has this so called "pedigree", sorry thats just the wrong way of looking at things.

Anyway just my 2cents

Back to what this thread is for

Anyone interested on a great buggy with good spares support, which would get you winning at your local track.

Edit: LEE, sorry but have you had one? I bet you havent, your probably another Associated or Losi Owner or Whatever, if you dont want it, thats fair enough, dont go on about how Shit it is, beacuse its not, far from it, what can you get for the money? nothing hardley, a standered kyosho lazer zx-5 which is basically all plastic crap. WOOPIE.

how many world titles have associated won? of course they have pedigree! Hotbodies are part of HPI who also have pedigree...

i like academy cars, but i wouldnt buy one because they arent proven... you cant escape that

I sold a BJ4 for less than what you are asking for this academy.

No i have not had one but i know people who have run them as a sponsored driver and there was very little positive feedback.

Its not about names of cars or pedigrees, did Atomic carbon have a pedigree? No but they produce quality products hence people support them and like there cars.
