No problems SHY. Will be glad to help out. The fist thing I am going to test is how The new motor placement functions in reality and if The flex system workshops well with the two different rear plates.
The initial idea with the easy removable lipo tray was that it was meant to be 12mm longer than stock ones so you could lift them up and switch sides with each other. By that the lipos could be moved to front or rear position very easy without the need of removing the posts, only the 4 nuts. 2 on each side. The lipotrays would of course look a little bit different with 12mm more Cf left at one side. This idea came from looking at a Tamiya 502 where you can move the lipos back and fourth. Then I skipped this because the time frame for finishing the kit for Eos was to close. But if that feature are wanted, I will make it for production kits. |

Here is a pic of what I mean. The whole tray is one unit and is lifted straight up without the need of removing the battery posts that is places in a fixed position 12mm further appart than stock position. Just switch sides and the battery shifts position on the chassis to play around with weight distribution.
The same goes for the 10 gram plates that can be placed differently depending how you want your balance. If you don't use all of them of course |

It's all good! I can tell you that a MiD44 or an Atomized B44 (A-C) does handle excellent on loose & bumpy tracks! Very much like a XX-4.
BUT - you can't have the cake and eat it! I much prefer the std. B44 on astro turf tracks, which we more or less exclusively use here in Norway now. It just has much more steering (=faster) than a front-heavy car. And astro tracks are fairly flat as well, so that great bump handling is not really needed there.

Have designed a front wing for the B44 also. Called halfpipe. Wonder why it actually covers the whole front of the shock tower and bends over in a halfpipe shape. Looks really cool cuz I painted it. Protects the tower and the shock caps from both scratches and impact to The shock caps. No pic just yet. Sorry. |

Very nice job you've done! I love the body shell, much more attractive than the "bulldog" style that coming out these days.....
The LiPo straps are very clever system too

Did not go as planed for me at The race but cant blame the car really. It was dialed after a few practice runs but I was not. Too much to think about and not really there mentaly. Got à lot of positive feedback from people and both the lipo strap system and weight system worked perfectly all weekend. No issues what so ever. More than pleased. Drove home early the 712km on sunday because I bought a puppy!!! Was not the initial plan but life throws curvballs at you sometimes
Now Durango geardiffs Will be modded into the Fyra-4 |
