Anyone watch it?

I thought it was the best Khan match iv ever seen, really really intense and some great fighting from both sides.

Yea it was ace Josh, he was fast in round 1 and i thought he was gonna take it in that round LOL took a few nocks though further in!

Agreed! All boxing fights seem to get stopped when there getting good, and all school fights are stopped anyway, weather god or not lol

Khan has a poor chin, all just gimme fights for ITV as they cant bare to see him face a real title contender.

I don't think it should have been stopped. The other guys hands were still up and was still defending himself and ducking and weaving, so why was it stopped?
He took more of a beating in the earlier rounds and it wasn't stopped.
They're only supposed to stop them when a boxer is showing 'no signs' of protecting or defending himself.

I'm getting a bit dissapointed with khans fights. they all seem to be getting stopped by the ref when they shouldn't have been.

I totally agree with yeh TELL, Gomez should have been able to carry on. This has to be the best kahn fight i've seen. Gomez gave him something to think about

the way he argued with the ref when it was stopped showed he could of gone on further

I saw this fight, at the NIA. It was an awesome night. The atmosphere was so great! I'm not a huge boxing fan, but I was offered a ticket to go along with some mates, so took up the offer.

I also didn't think the fight should have been stopped, but after watching it again today, Gomez took such a beating, I think he would have stayed on his feet until he was pounded to a pulp.

I like Amir Khan, but I'm not sure if he's world champ material yet. I don't know enough about the main contenders in the lightweight class to comment really.
His punching is so fast. Its quite hard to believe how fast he is. Who knows about his chin though. He got knocked down after a decent punch, but he hadn't taken many punches up till then.

I'll follow him a bit more through this year. It will be interesting to follow his progress.

I only watch the Khan fights so I don't miss the fight he gets battered in. I hate the guy with a passion.

I'd have liked to see Kahn suffer a bit more, to see what he's really made of. But i think it was the right decision to stop Gomez, as he'd taken an awful lot of solid punches already, and as said before, he'd have just stood there taking them until he was badly hurt.
I'm just not sure about how good he is yet, i think he deffo needs some harder fights to prove himself.
