When I put my savox into my cr2 it did exactly the same-fouled on the balljoint. (Though I had the ball joint on the other side on the servo horn-facing front). The savox servo case is slightly bulkier in that area compared to a ko/sanwa servo.

Only way round it is to dremel a little material off the servo case-I've seen it done-and it works-but I didnt fancy doin it to my brand new savox-hence I sold it and bought the new small Sanwa servo( which is perfect and leaves more room behind also for speedo's / weights etc. )

Yea but i want a good bassis to start at for when we do race outdoors at oz and other places..

Wel JC you make a wonderful car and who ever made that setup made a wonderful setup. Its awsome. Ran as per the std setup on the ac website but ran black front springs. and ran 100 grams of lead under my cells 20 grams in the front bulkhead and 5 grams each side of the motor. And it was really really good.

Tbh I think I need to try other servo's, and go low profile just to keep the space easy! I could then move the servo back by dremelling the servo mount, though I'd likely cock it up!!

May have a servo or 2 for sale soon!!
I use a Savox with B4 servo mounts and a losi servo horn. I dremelled off about 6mm from the front of the servo mounts, this allows me to move the servo backwards and gives enough room to clear the problem. I had to use shorter screws to hold the servo in place or they foul up on the screws that come up through the chassis to hold on the servo mounts. Pain in the neck, but cures the problem

Has anyone ran one of these new cars on slippy indoor wood flooring yet ??
Car looks awesome but just wondered how it compares to a stock xxx-cr, B4 or X6 for winter indoor racing...

You probably want a gear ratio in the low 8's for a 10.5T.

On a 78 spur this would required a 22 (8.615) or 23 (8.241) tooth pinion.

Guys, for the LHD, can i safely assume that all it need for the conversion are the Losi XXX-NT front bulkhead p/n LOSA4160 or the graphite version p/n LOSA9714 and AE B4 servo mounts p/n 7336?

Yes, although you may want a longer bolt to go through the front of the carbon chassis and through the bulk head. There was not enough plastic in my bulkhead (new) for the threads to grip to anything so the only solution was to bolt through from underneath with a nut on top.

Issue was I could not find any countersunk 4-40 screws long enough so I have used M3x30 coutersunk screws with M3 nuts which works perfectly.

What have other people done here?

James

You will also need a spedo that can run in reverse. If not, you will need the RHD conversion
