Default andy carroll

andy carroll has put a transfer request in to leave newcastle utd for liverpool for £35 million plus extras.
is there no loyalty in football anymore

then again he's just a thug so he should fit in quite well with gerrard and all the other crim's in the liverpool squad

Couldnt't agree more. Liverpool could of had him last season for 4million.
Newcastle have done well hes played half the season in the premiership scored 9 goals i think and his value has multiplied by 9.

To quote a nearly famous ex-scouser and newcastle manager
"I would love it just love it" if after moving to chelski they failed to qualify for the CL. Torres should have stuck it out untill the summer then see would had qualifed because the way chelski are playing its not a cert they will make the top four, then old nando would be in the same boat as in loserpool. If there is a god of football please let this happen.

On a different note do the clubs have to pay tax on transfer fee,s as everyone is saying now we,ve sold player x for 30m we have 30m to spend or do the tory b******s take their slice.

Government take their slice. UK transfers are subject to VAT, so on Carroll and Torres, we just saved paying about £16m in tax from our hard-earned. Result!

I rekon andy carrols not a bad player, looks to me like an old skool center forward, bit of a handful, however i don't think he's worth £35,000,000 obviously tere's no recession in footy
