Default Another R/C Robbery

X Factory chief engineer Paul Sinclair was the victim of a robbery sometime this afternoon. Much of his R/C stuff was stolen from the back of his car while it sat in the parking lot of his apartment in Maumee, Ohio, a suburb of Toledo.

The thieves took the two black boxes with which Paul travels to all races, including the latest brand new ProTek charger still in its box, a number of ProTek shorty and saddle battery packs, two boxes full of Viper motors and ESCs, his KO transmitter in a Brian Kinwald tranny bag, all his tools including ProTek and MIP drivers and two torx drivers, an original Unger soldering iron, a cordless Dremel with a box of tools including several 1/8" carbide end mills and tons of X Factory & AE spare parts.

Also taken was a big box of J Concepts tires, wheels, and foam.

Of perhaps greatest importance are two X - 6 Cubed cars. One is chassis # 001 and the other has no number at all -- it's the final production prototype. Needless to say, someone trying to sell #001 would point that feature out; the one with no number is, as far as we know, the only such Cubed chassis now in existence.

Both cars have the special black Viper motors, Viper ESCs, Protek shorty batteries, ProTek servos, KO receivers, Avid slippers, and #001 has a transponder. And, as you might expect from the company's engineer, there are a number of experimental parts on both cars. The cars should be very easy to identify, and the stuff is in many ways unique.

If anyone sees or hears anything about the whereabouts of any of this stuff, please call X Factory 419-887-1787 or E-Mail YoungChazz@gmail.com
