Default carb problem

Ive got a hpi savage x and for the last few weeks now, every now and then the carb just seems to jam up completely, it only does it when its been sitting a while, ive tried oiling the slideing part of the carb and that worked for a while but now im sometimes having to gently ease the carb open with some needle nose pliers.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how i can cure this problem?

Do you drain the tank when you finish using the car , could be fuel setting . some fuels go sticky .

I sometimes leave maybe a small bit of fuel at the bottom of the tank, probably enough for it too run for about 3-4 minutes, i didnt think that little bit would do anything?

Take it apart and see if theres anything wrong with it. Might be something jammed in there. You usualy have to unscrew the idle screw out to release the slide.

If one you pulled it and freed it off if it stays ok till you store it might be gummed up with fuel.
