Default Laptop getting hotish

Just wondering how warm a laptop is supposed to get, as mine is getting hot enough to warm they key pad up, havent had this on any other laptops and it seems to be getting alot slower as well, its usualy just on a desk with nothing below or next to it. Or am i being paranoid?

Clean all the crap out of it hardware and software. Get all the dust out of it. Go buy a can of air take you battery out and spray it in any vent you can find to get the dust out of it. And remove any un nessasary programs and check for virus's. Dont use norton or mclaughy use AVG and spybot search and destroy.

What Laptop is it? Is it running an original manufacturer battery or a cheap replacement?

Its fine. There is a reason laptops cause male impotence and the heat is one of the reason

Depends on rooms factors too, and how long its been on. If you can touch it, I would say its fine.

When it gets hot is it plugged in or connected to the mains. When mine is running off battery it gets hot too unless I put it in the Power Saver mode.
