What makes battery's brca legal?
Hello. Just wandering what lets batterys be brca legal these days? The reason i ask is because I know they have to be sold in the uk which ruled out turnigy batts for years, but now they have a uk shop selling batterys could that be changed? Thanks

The manufacturer/importer needs to submit them to the BRCA Electric Board for approval.

The importer has to submit the batteries to the BRCA to show that:
1. The batteries meet all regulations and safety tests 2. To prove they are available to buy in the UK 3. To show that they provide the correct customer support as being the official importers they are legally responsible for the products they distribute. If the importer doesn't want to submit the batteries thee is nothing you can do to make them BRCA legal.

I think they also have to meet size and weight restrictions and some of the Turnigies are odd sizes.
