Post Pro transmission in Procat

Hi There.

I have been having trouble in finding an MMS front diff for my Procat so I was wondering if the Pro transmission kit from the XLS would just drop in.
Has anyone else tried this upgrade?

I should think it would fit straight in. I was considering one of these upgrades for one of my old Cat XLS cars.

You'll need the re-re XLS front transmission housing too. Just in the process of doing the same and fitting the pro trans to my Pro-CAT.

Thumbs up

Hi There

Thanks for your help. Luckily I already have the aluminium trans housing from the re release. I’m using it with the original Procat diff with no issues.

As above, you will need re-re XLS standard front transmission or upgrade ally one as diff is a larger diameter.

From experience, undertray will need trimming further to clear diff and it's likely bumper will need some clearance grinding for diff guide fences - rere XLS bumper moulding has obviously been made deeper in this area.

I'm planning to soon start stripping, cleaning and rebuilding my old Procat.

I'd been wondering whether the XLS Pro transmission upgrade would drop in. From reading here it seems that it does, providing re-re XLS front transmission casings are used.

How does belt tensioning work if using the XLS casings? Looking at pictures there are no slots in them for the tensioning bar.
