Mine arrived this morning, and is currently on my new Cat SX with Trakpower 4900 Lipo and it fits perfectly. Very nice!!! It looks good enough to be something Schumacher should have put in the kit.

100% recommend to all Lipo SX owners!!

Although for any Lipo lower than the 4900 Trakpower the cell post is too tall, so this is a simple fix of putting a shim over the battery brace under the clip, or putting some foam on the underside of the battery brace to fill the gap.

And a little birdie tells me you'll have a few to take to Worksop - and I reckon you won't be bringing them home.

got this from the associated website :-

Specifications:
  • Length: 138.5mm
  • Width: 46.0mm
  • Height: 25.0mm
  • Weight: 295g
  • Discharge: 175A continuous, 200A‐225A burst
  • Passes UN T1‐T8 testing
Source : Team Associated

the official 4900 trakpower dims are 137x46x23 so the reedy is longer, narrower and taller. it would be a tight fit on length and height but i built in a bit of 'play' to the design. the only sure-fire way is to try it

Why would you do that? Just convert it to a Lipo car properly. Once you have the Lipo chassis on the Lipo retainer will fit. Lipo is not intended to fit the Nimh chassis so its highly likely the retainer won't fit - but hey, that chassis wasn't for Lipo, it was for nimh thats why its called the nimh chassis.

You could drill the chassis to suit though

Fair enough. But like I said, you can drill the Nimh chassis around to suit, I doubt any holes for cell mounting will line upotherwise.

Got one of these and fitted it at worksop. Awesome!! Looks mint and fits perfect. Looks like oem. Had to dremel a tiny bit to suit my lrp lipos(.5mm). Really pleased so big thanks to Northy for supply and Nick for design. Top stuff, you shouldn't run a lipo Cat without one!!
