recommended tyres for Sundays meet

Hi All

Hopefully if my brushless arrives I will be racing at Bury on Sunday with my 501x. What are the best tyres for the surface? Mini spikes or Mini pins (yellow)?

Its been quite a while since I raced offroad, I've been used to touring recently, so am quite used to a precise car.

Hello, I ran my 501x at Bury last time out on pretty worn yellow mini spikes and they gave good grip on the unique racing surface and were safe on the very grippy carpet.

I am sure mini pins could be quicker but a lot of people were grip rolling on the carpet with pins.

I also used worn GRP spikes which were good but they wore down to slicks leaving me with understeer.

thanks, at the moment I only have a new set of Mini-spikes so I think that might be a bit slippy with my 5t motor?

What settings did you run at Bury? I havent raced a buggy since the old topforce days..
