Default Tyres for Hinckley and Ledbury

I am looking to order my tyres for the 2WD regionals coming up.

I was planning on buying the following:

2 pair of Schumacher yellow mini spikes - Rear
2 pairs of schumacher yellow mini spike - slim fronts

1 pair of Ballistic Buggy green spikes - Rear

I already have a rear pair of part worn schumacher yellows for practise.

Should I consider anything else? I am hoping this would cover me for Hinckley and Ledbury?

I am not sure what surface Hinckley is?

Thank you,

Chris.

Also, I've noticed that schumacher do pre-glued rears, I can only find yellow spike 2 compound?

Should I get them instead of normal yellow spikes?

Are they a pin fixing, as per a B4?

Just curious, is it a possibility to use the banking for some of the track at all?

can anybody confirm this for me please?

Are minispike 2's going to be the tyre of choice for grass this season? or will i need both types of mini spikes?

thanks

Chris..

I would have stock of Schuey minispike 2 yellows and ballistic mini spike greens..as long as the ground is firm..

just my opinion..

Scheumacher Yellows can be either the original type or the newer version 2's. Either pretty much give the same performance... I am lead to beleive that the difference between the two is a change to the material which makes them last longer.

Tyres you should try and stock up with then:

Rear Schu Yellows (Essential for 90% or so of racing... I would normally try and stock 2 or 3 sets of these as they can wear down quite quickly)
Front Schu Yellows (normally have about 3 sets of fronts, with different amounts of spikes cut to suit different track conditions - can sometimes feel costly getting these all at once but they tend to wear down slower than the rear so you should get many meetings out of them!)
Rear Schu Greens (I personally have a set of rear greens but I very rarely use them... but I know some people like to use it in slightly damp conditions or as an 'in-between' tyre after running ballistic buggy greens and before going straight onto Schu Yellows)
Rear Ballistic Buggy Greens (Essential for wet or damp conditions)
Front Ballistic Buggy Greens (Used mainly in wet conditions... if the track is just damp most would run BB Green rears but Schu Yellow fronts with full spikes)

Some use some old TR32 tyres (huge spikes) which work exellently in really wet conditions... however, these are not longer in production and are NOT brca legal - use for club use only!

Thats about all that most run, hope this helps!

Ta, Jon!
