Default 4S LiPO

What packs are people using and where do or can you get them?
Am I better off sticking with twin 2S packs?

You didn't say what car you have, but if you are after a 4S brick battery Giant Shark sell the Gens Ace ones which should be good. But I think Gens Ace only go up to 5000mAh in hard cased so if you need longer run times you may need to get two 2S stick packs.

It's an RC8.2e, giant shark won't ship overseas so no good to me. Was looking at this http://www.maxamps.com/proddetail.ph...8-Pack&cat=361
Or this http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...s-148V-6400mAh
Or this

I'm running HPI Rage esc and 1965kv motor.
Looking to be able to do 20 min finals on astro.

For 20 minute finals you will prob need at least 5800mAh. Seems like those prices from the states are a bit high, and you may get stung for import duties. I have seen mixed reports about the MaxAmps ones as well with Gens Ace coming out on top of group tests.
Gens Ace do have a warehouse/web shop in Germany that ships all over Europe, you can find a 4S pack here;
http://www.gensace.com/epages/genspo...2P-HardCase-14

I've never heard of anyone using the Gens Ace own web shop so can't comment on how good the service is but it's worth looking at.

They won't ship lipos due to changes in aviation laws, according to their website anyway.
Thanks for the links chaps, I've ordered off hobbyking before and got stuck with duty and import charges also. I have also seen that Thunder Power do an 8000 35/70C via the Schumacher site, anybody got any experience with these?

I'm not sure what you timescales are on this, but I can get you one of the SMC 6500mAh 70C 4S packs on our next order. RRP here would be £125.

Ian - dont know if your sorted yet, but I am using 2 x Overlander 6500mah sport packs. They are only 25c but I have had no problems running round BADMCC for 20mins with them. They are £45.99 a pack, distributed in the UK, and we have them in stock.

I'd go 2x vs. 1x for this reason. Lets say you need 6000mah pack to make a 20 min race. 2x 6000mah 2s run in series packs are going to be cheaper than one 6000mah 4s because there is much more volume on 2s packs so they price them cheaper per mah. Then you also have more selection due to many 2s pack varieties. Then, if you do mess up one cell in a 4s pack you might have to toss all of them as rebuilding a pack is a pain. with 2 x 2s packs you can just toss the one that has the bad cells.
