Fastrax and Ansmann do a set of alloy shocks that will fit the MadRat, very good prices considering, you will need a 75mm front shock and a 95mm rear shock, you might have to use the original springs as they come with quite long springs, the part numbers for the fronts from CML is fast166 and fast168 for the rears they retail at £7.99 for the fronts and £8.50 for the rears, hope that helps

will the b4 spring fit on them i have full set of spring for front and rear i hope they fit on the fastraks shock. as the cups on the bottom of the shock to hold the spring in place. when you push the shocks down the little hold for the spring comes off all the time .

I'm hoping to do almost the exact same thing - Madrat, with aftermarket shocks and Associated springs.

Check the diameter of the B4 and kit springs - it sounds like the B4 springs are a little wider (I'll do so myself, later). I'd imagine a set of Associated shock boots would sold the problem?

I'd agree with Mark, it's a valid point and this may help steer VXL boy to just getting the B4 plastic shock parts as previously suggested. I'd certainly give it a go. Chief, you also are making your self look like the pot calling the kettle black!

I deleted that also - if there's any bullshit, tell me and i will sort it. Creating yet another thread filled (not by you) of slagging off and name calling is exactly what I don't want - lots of bans to be handed out in the very near future I'm thinking.
