Non members pay €5 regardless unless the rccaoi are going to cover the extra insurance levy for non club member national racers.

Exactly, so therefore non club members pay €5 insurance levy or join as a club member.

I'm just after 2 figures really - the all in Junior newbie fee to enter this national round & the all in senior newbie fee to enter this national round. Can anyone from the club give these confirmed figures? Thanks.

Hi Ed,

RCCAOI annual membership (for all) is 10 euros
DMCC Race fee is 5 euros for members, 10 euros for non-members

So if you haven't joined the RCCAOI already, you'll be hit for 20 euros, but only 10 next time.

Remember that the club lays on covered pitting and 230v electricity.

Will

Not quite right Will, the rccaoi is €10 annual membership +€5 per class so in reality is €15. Totalling €25 for the first round but then only €10 club fees for subsequent rounds.

Great to know its nice and simple!!!
It's pricey if you pay it all on one day - but the idea is to join the RCCAOI in January, so that you only pay the 10 euro race fee on the day.

Hi Just seen this tread..
if you are a non-member of both DMCC and RACCAOI then for your first national it is €25
that includes:
~€10 RACCAOI membership (once off yearly payment)
~€5 RACCAOI 1/10th off-road class registartion, covers both 2wh and 4wh (once off yearly payment)
~€5 DMCC Insurance
~€5 DMCC Race fees

if you are an member of RACCAOI but not a DMCC member it is €15
~€5 RACCAOI 1/10th off-road class registartion, covers both 2wh and 4wh (once off yearly payment)
~€5 DMCC Insurance
~€5 DMCC Race fees

For any round after that it if non DMCC member is €10
that includes:
~€5 DMCC Insurance
~€5 DMCC Race fees

if you are a member of both then it is €5
~€5 DMCC Race fees

there is no different in prices for adult and junior.

i hope that clears thing up if there are any further question in regards to these please send me an email @ secretary@dublinmodelracing.com

Congratulations to Derek McCloskey (Schumacher Cougar SV) for winning the first 2wd round of the Irish Nationals (Modified section). Derek won in style as top qualifier and winning both A Finals to secure the maximum points tally on what has to the filthiest, wettest, muckiest meeting that I have been at in years. The Cougar SV proved to be a very good car in these conditions with the motor almost over the rear axle giving Derek great traction and balance. Well done Derek!

William White (TLR 22) was second having battled hard in qualifying to set the fastest time when the track was damp. However, as the conditions worsened the Losi, in mid-motor guise, became more and more uncompetitive and probably would have faired better in rear-motor configuration.

Michael Bolger (AE B4.1) was third overall after qualifying 5th on the grid. As the conditions worsened the performance difference between mid and rear motored cars seemed to close and reverse, giving Mick the upper hand in wetter conditions.

The Clubman section of the meeting was won by Michael O'Leary (AE B4.1) - more clubman details when I get the results up.

*** Just a quick note to thank all of the drivers who travelled down from the North to race. It was a miserable day, but I hope that you all enjoyed it and hope that you will come to the next round in August - hopefully in dryer conditions ***

More news as I get it......

Great days craic @ DMCC on Sunday as expected, despite the weather. Hope Colin's gazebo dried out!

The track was a lot tighter than I remember before at Lucan, but IMO very enjoyable to drive, especially when it (briefly!) dried out in Q2/Q3. 22 racers was a good sign to me too, bearing in mind the weather and a few unavailable on the day for other reasons.

It's a sign of the times when racers are amazed at needing to clean their cars after a heat. Makes the green astroturf fluff a bit of a non event after the muck that built up on the cars at the weekend!

My car was delighted to meet up with old friends again too - not sure how many previous owners it had racing on the day!
