Default Yz2 gearing

im going to run a 10.5 in my yz2 what sort of gearing do people reckon
As a good base

26-28 will be about right. depends on if you are running blinky or timing/boost in esc. bigger pinion, smaller spur if blinky spec racing.
I used to run 26 ish with a 10.5 in my bmax2, and add some boost if I needed more.

Thanks Neil, i running 27t at the moment, so im in the ballpark, not running any boost, ill only crash more lol.

Yup leave it that and run it. providing motor doesn't come off scorching hot you are good.

Gearing is also dependent on track size & layout, so try to gear so you hit top speed just before the end of the straight, whilst allowing good acceleration through the infield.
