hi there
hobbywing makes some good combos (motor, esc, program card)
ebay has good deals(beware of fake ones) or on the for sale section here you could pick up a used esc for a decent price.
Have you upgraded the shocks on your df03?
I changed mine to the TRF ones and its like night and day difference.
get some different pinions and play with the ratios, i run a 23 82 ratio or a 26 82 depending on the track etc.
check to see if the grease has not dried up in the diffs (after 3 years)
hope that helps!

thanks for the info ,much appreciated, i used to race it all the time, (brushed) as could never find a brushless speedo small enough to fit, hence why im asking, upgraded shocks with associated threaded ones, cvds all round and a one way in the front

http://stores.benl.ebay.be/RC-FANS88...=p4634.c0.m322

bought EZrun from this guy, it's the real deal (according to all the fake checks)
while I also ordered one from http://myworld.benl.ebay.be/demonerr...id=p4340.l2559 , turned out to be a fake, look at the box and manuals you can actually see they scanned the original and printed it again as there's a loss in resolution

both ezruns do their job fine, so far no difference. regarding DF03, you're running with slipper clutch?

Default phew..

I thought I might be the only one left....

I've got a dark impact.

Front One way + slipper clutch (a must if you are running a brushless)

Im running a yeah racing brainpower esc with a 12/13T motor (sensorless).

I'm yet to tune it up cos on full throttle it just spins!

I also bent a front dogbone...they aren't that beefy...

It would be nice to know how you get on...

I still intend to race mine!

i run the 60a HW in my kmrc and a alpha car esc which is a rebranded HW in my 3racing, the 60a HW fits no probs in the df03, but its a old version so im not sure if the newer models are the same measurements, i will measure my esc and let you know.

i race both my DI's regulary, just dont overpower them and they go really well.

the only real problem i have with the df03 series is the rear shock mount, its so weak and flexes alot and if you use carbon towers the rigidness of those snap the mount even quicker..

trying out some oldy DF-02 with brushless, using stock spur and 16T with 5T motor brushless was a bit overkill; 19T + 10.5T seems a bit underpowered? is that possible?

i raced my dark impact with reasonable success, using a novak cyclone and an 11turn motor, preety damn quick and heat was not an issue, and that was racing indoors, regarding rear shock tower, i stayed with the stock one, ok it flexes alot which gives a bit more roll, but used associated shocks with number 1 pistons, and silver springs, cant remember what oil tho, like i said it was 3 yrs ago ha ha
