LIPO or MOTOR HELP!
Hi everyone, and thanks in advance for you help.
I charged my Li-Po battery (2S, which is fairly old and well used) on Thursday morning (30th?) planning to go racing on Friday night. I didn't go, and used the Li-Po today (2nd) in my Tamiya Mini. After plugging the car in, I ran it on damp grass for 2-3 mins. Then it cut out once. I though nothing of it and it kicked back in. After another minute it cut out, but for good. I had steering still, but no drive. That's where the motor comes in. Could it be that? Its all well used. The battery flat light was flashing on the ESC though. The car had just had a new servo, but I don't think that would be it. I haven't touched the Li-Po for an hour or so now, or charged it. Is it a sign it is going bad, or is it the motor. Thanks again, Sam Don't know if this will help, but here is the specs of the electronics. I'd first try another battery to eliminate a dodgy cell. I would of also checked to see how hot it was running. It could be anything but there's not enough info for anyone to make a call.

Sounds like the battery has dropped below the lipo cut off voltage. Damp grass is high power drain. But if you don't have a spare, borrow one to be sure.

I'm getting 2 new Li-Pos Tommrow from postie. I will try them. It was running at normal temperature. I tried a NiHm and it worked fine, meaning it is the Li-Po. The ESC Lipo cut off light was on, so could it just be flat?
