No probs! Print a few off and you can tell from comparing the set ups they don't change a massive amount, the latest set up from Paul Bradby from Robin Hood Raceway will be good for grass set up as these are both high grip surfaces.
I would invest in a set of stagger rib tyres for the front too |

I run stagger ribs indoor on carpet and they're awesome, didn't realise they were good for grass too.

Yeah looks okay.
You might want thicker front oil with new tyres though, as it will be a bit twitchy. Hth Mark

The control tyre is Shumy Yellow Minipins on the rears with either Minipin or Stagger Ribs in Yellow on the front both with medium inserts ! OK, so I'm still running 40wt in the front (purely because I didn't have any 35wt available) and I found the back end very unstable indoors (polished floor @ York).
Could the 'stiffer' front end contribute to this, or should I be looking elsewhere ? 'Twas a frustrating drive .... also thought I've maybe got too much torque in there. Running a Speed Passion 7.5 23/81, got the throttle exp trimmed down on the radio, and moved the esc profile down to something less aggressive.

Chadderton (Batley Indoor) Round 1
Here's the setup I was running on the B4 at R1 of the Batley indoor series
Or a larger version if thats a bit hard to read... >>>Click<<< Also Arn0 has done a PDF on the PetitRC site too... >>>Click<<< A couple of things to note, If you're using the older B4 rear tower you should be in the middle hole as the tower is a bit wider. Also having the weight in similar places is important for the setup to work, basically 40g right at the front and 30g or so around the antisquat block. A few people have tried my setups but with loads of extra weight and wondered why it wasn't much good - keep it light |

Rich
Would this setup be the way you would run @ Ardent indoors on mainly carpet ? First run with the B4 on the 19th so looking for a good starting point, anything you would change ?? Cheers Lee Quote:

Pretty much, if the carpet's super grippy I'd lower the front and take some rows off the front tyres - other than that I'm going to start the Petit as per that setup Rich |

Cheers for posting the set up Rich, very handy for my B4!
One quick question, raising the inner ball stud on the front tower, does this take a bit of steering away on high grip?? What does this set up do to the car? |

Hi Rich,
I have a few questions about your set up for Chadderton. Do you use Associated shock oils? What rear toe do you run? You are running the kit hubs, what about the inboard toe? I'll be giving this a go at Ardent this weekend. Cheers, James |

Mark - More washers under the front camberlink ballstud will dull initial turn-in slightly and give slightly more on-power steering.
Jamesy - Yep I always use AE oil, as for toe I run 3 degrees inboard and 0 degrees on the hubs. If you are running the kit 0.5 degree hubs just leave the inboard on 3 degrees and it'll be a little safer on power |

Thanks for posting this setup, I'm glad I can start ripping your setups off again now you are back in the land of B4. Not sure its my laptop, but in the words of some Cannonball Runners driving into a pool, 'I can't see sheet, can you?!'..
Any chance you could somehow re-post please with things bigger please? That would be top. |

Hi Richard, thanks for your setup. I would like ask you to post, if possible, the setup for the B4.1 on a astroturf. The indoor track where I'll have races is created on a tennis area and the astroturf is slightly filled with some sands/gravel. Do you have one to share with us, please? During the last club racing some people was using the oil density very high, around 40wt/42.5wt. Why so high, please? When I have a look on your setups the oil density is always around the range 25wt to 35wt. I look forward to hearing news from you. Thank you, Marco. |
