Default 2wd Regional Ledbury

Right folks Round 2 of the regional series is this coming sunday.

We will be running an astro track layout for this event and hoping to create something that everyone will enjoy.

Best tyre options is ballistic greens in the wet or yellow mini spike for dry weather, our astro is fairly high grip so am sure you will all enjoy it.

Anyone is welcome to camp the night before, just drop me a PM if you would like to camp.

Gates open from 7am.

Booking in at 8am

There is a water tap on the entrance to the farm by the main building if anyone needs to use this.

Any questions feel free to ask.

The track is also sign posted so you shouldnt have a problem finding us.

Right folks thanks to the help of Ledbury members and Roger and co we now have the layout complete for sundays meeting.

There is only a couple of puddles in the bomb hole so we have designed around this so even if we have rain all week and weekend the track is good to race on.

For lap times guys I think you will be looking at a 30second lap around abouts.

looking forward to sunday now

Hello,

Excuse my ignorance if this is a daft question but will there be anybody there on Sunday selling tyres etc as I have had time to sort out tyres for the meeting?

Track is really good, great balance of fast and slower sections with lots of technical bits thrown in. Air time is sensible and most of the features have a risk-&-reward bias. I am really looking forward to it

Track is at least 2.5m all round as per the rules & Nathan & helpers went to great lengths to make sure everything else was as good as it can be (marshal points, line of sight from the rostrum, being able to see / judge landing points especially, track marking lashings etc etc.).

I know some people have concerns about access to the track, especially in wet conditions. It was howling down when I got there last night & again when I left and I had no trouble getting on or off site with my car, neither did any of the others. Care will be required on the drive to the track if you run a VERY low car as the driveway has potholed a bit but I can't see it being a problem for any of the vehicles I normally see parked up at meetings.

The track surface at Ledbury is hardly effected by the rain and as Nathan has already said the only feature that occassionally pools is excluded from this layout so there is no need to have any fear that weather may stop play.

Last point ... be warned that the scrutineer is VERY strict so make sure your all legal before you go
