I might just do that Mark
It will be fun as per normal racing bonkers cars for a laugh at maritime with no testing at all!
I don't think there's a rule on non production chassis just bodies I think? But we did run those pop bottle bodies on our smr b4s and no scrutineering pick ups
Maybe I fit a b max body to be sure

I like the associated term unobtainium
Meaning the perfect material for the job that doesn't exist lol
I think they are anodised titanium

You can anodise titanium yourselves at home safely using a charger/powersupply and sugar soap as the electrolyte
As you increase the current the tit changes colour from reds through golds pinks and blue ( not correct order, forgotten it ) no dyes needed
So something like 20volts you get purple etc

Many thanks guys for all the debates over the years
I've loved winning them and loved loosing them equally
But most of all thanks oople for a wonderful forum that is un biased , free, friendly and now invaluable as the main offroad source of info!
Well done jimmy and friends
You have certainly kept me entertained on my tea breaks at work
I will never forget topping out a roof in January in the pouring rain sitting on the ridge, soaked, pauseing the workers cause I needed to answer a debate with Roger mills about shock pistons lol that was ace Roger cheers
If I've ever upset anyone please don't take it to heart it was never with malice
I've met some real nice intresting people through oople.... Some don't even like me but I think your all ace
I think I'm different and do not really have a place here anymore
I'm really sad about it. But it's fact
I was constantly thought of as biased towards vega/Xtreme for obvious reason but truthfully I wasn't ,,, I only stuck up for it cause it was being wronged
Truth is all modern chassis are great , we in offroad have never been so spoilt!
Will still look in occasionally but no more post from me
Yes I will have withdrawal cause I'm an oople addict but it's for the best.
I posted here in this thread cause didn't want to troll
And this thread was my only true success on oople
I'm still going to make crap , and may post images if they are intresting but
no more comments in public forum just pm
Cheers
Scott

The problem is, some people read a thread think about it (sometimes a lot) then post there opinion. Then 2 seconds later they are being called all the names under the sun by some one only out to cause trouble .

you dare to post some information based on mechanical or technical experience, gained by years of manufacturing and machining, or just years of racing and repairing (sometimes on a ridiculously tight budjet) only to get instantly dismissed by someone who can't mesh there motor correctly or even do the wheels up tight.

Top job guys!

Hey rebel,

my english may not be the best, but i understand enaugh to know that we have a serious problem, one of the gratest car builders wants to leave us behind!
PLEASE DONīT!
Or if you donīt want to post in other forum sections, please keep us updated with your ideas and new cars and please keep on building cars it would be sad to waste this talent.
This is what makes the hobby for me, building own cars. Sadly iIcanīt! Thats how I got to this forum, I was looking for more pics of a selfmade car.

Please stay at oople!

No !!!!!

I enjoy reading your posts, the ones I've read come across as simply unbiased and well informed. Lots of particular manufacturer 'fan boys' and 'team' drivers post biased opinions on here, personally I like to hear from people in the know, who pay their own way in this hobby.

Keep making cool buggies, whatever you decide

Agreed with Andy - your creations are some of the best mate!
Don't take things too serious though and have fun whatever you're up to man.
