Default Kidderminster club days

Kidderminster and Worcester Model Car Club are excited to announce 2 off-road club dates in September. The primary aim of these events is to gauge levels of interest with a view to running more regular club events and competitions.

The dates are 9th and 30th of Sept. Entry is free for members of Kidderminster or Worcester club and a modest cost of £3 for non-members (please note it is only £5 to join Kidderminster club so if you intend to do both dates it will be cheaper to join the club get in touch via PM and I will let you know how to join).

Registering for 9th is now open online here:

Gates will open around 8am with open practice from 10-10:30 and heats starting 10:30.

For those that have not raced at Kidderminster before, can anyone recommend what tyre to use in 2wd or 4wd classes.

Thanks

Ballistic greens will work in the dry as well, just not quite as well as the Schumy Yellows BUT are easier to live with as the car is less agressive on them.

The D-boots tire also works well around the Kidderminster circuit in the wet (B compound) but the A compound doesn't seem great in the dry.

If your only planning on bringing one tire make it some Ballistic greens.

Other than that McDonalds and coop are down the road.

Unless Dan is going I doubt there will be any shop.

As Adon said there are plenty of local choices for food but with uncertain numbers there was no way a burger van or similar would be interested. The day should be relaxed enough to allow people to pop out and miss nothing.

As for a shop I doubt it, unless Dan shows up as stated. There will be a lot of experienced racers there who will have spares in their boxes to cover most things so I doubt it will cause a problem.
