Default Does size really matter.......?

Savox 1252 servo. After a slight detour and uncountable somersaults it would appear, after a conversation with a very helpful forum member one of the gears has sheared a tooth inside the servo It's the small body version. I've contacted several shops including the Savox UK distributor and nobody has stock of the replacement gears for at least 10 days. Which tells me that it is a high usage product which in turn tells me they break on a regular basis.

So should I invest in a standard size servo? I am lead to believe these are more robust? If so which is best for around the £40 mark?

Schumacher cat k1 aero if that helps.

Oh and by the way did you know that the Savox UK distributor (CML distributution)will not honour any warranty claim if a servo saver hasn't been used!? They then informed me you can't fit a servo saver into a Schumacher car!!!! DOH!

DMS has 1 in stock to get you up and running again, if you like.

But go for a full size servo, xpert do one for a bit more than your £40. I was in your position with a savox a while ago and got a 2nd hand KOPropo which has been great!!

Rule of thumb is buy the best and you'll never need a new one!!

Thanks bretts. They are slightly dearer at £16.00 from DMS than the other usual stockist at less than £14. So I thought for another £20 or so it might be worth investing a new stronger version. So posted this before I made a final decision.

Thanks again. I'll definitely consider your xpert suggestion.

Full size all the way. The Xpert ones are good.

You can fit a servo saver in a K1 Aero, I use a Tamiya high torque in mine with no problems on a full size servo.
