I might be up for this if the weather is ok.

What tyres would be best, on a 2WD?

Hi there,

I think a Bunch of us are planning to to Race at Ledbury this Sunday, providing the Weather is ok
We're all planning to do all of the 2WD Mid-West Regionals this Year, so it would be a good opportunity for us to get some practice in, specially as we've never been to your Club before

Question for the Ledbury team ..... are you going to be running weekday meetings this year or will it be just be untimed practiceas last year?????

I'd kill for some mid week off-road!!!

Roger not sure if this will help you or not;

Regular Sunday morning timed club meetings are popular with members to check out cars and try new equipment. In April to August months we also race on Wednesday evenings, "tune and try" sessions which is great fun

We run a club meeting once a month and great time for praticising and good value of a £5 and we normally run 4 rounds and finals in the morning and the same in the afternoon with a short break for luch.We get around 40 drivers at the club meetings on a Sunday

As the lighter nights are approaching we also run a pratice session every Wednesday evening

Hope you are keeping well

Great day weather wise at Ledbury today.
4 rounds and a final in morning and then 3 rounds and final in afternoon with a different track.
All for a fiver
Seemed like most of the racers liked the layouts and new features. We know what needs to be improved and wiol sort out the tufts of grass

I was new to the Ledbury track but racing today was great. Massive amount of racing for the money and an overall fantastic day.

I personally liked the dust bowl, even though I was racing a 2wd X6 (Jon Seals Edition, lol) as it was difficult, tricky and needed good throttle control!I luved the first round as the table top at the end of the straight was very satisfying shooting onto the banked corner, and also the 3 jumps that were being taken as a double then a single - seemed to flow alot better. As far as improvements the guys were telling me about a dug out 'U' section on the straight under the rostrum which would be interesting, but as far as further improvements a rumble strip might be a thought on one of the hair pin corners, and better grass (which I know is difficult due to the sandy soil they have to work with!).

Great weather, great people, great racing... Thanks very much guys!

See you all again soon, Jon

Cracking days racing today in all ways..(Wishbone & Shock Tower )

Weather was great, as mentioned above Doug always puts on the two meetings in one format so loads of track time as usual..

A great turn out of racers with a few youngsters doing extremely well, everyone seemed to enjoy the day.

Keep a look out on the ledbury website (www.leburymcc.com) as doug will at some stage put a link to all the pics he took during the course of the day..

Dont forget that there is a Nitrux 2 day event next weekend (Sunday & Monday) at the cider mill in Ross on Wye, The series is mainly a nitro event but if there is a good amount of interest Electrics can also have a few heats

Otherwise see you all at the Coventry in a few weeks time..

Lol Griff, good point, Overnighter, Cider, Racing...hmmmm im in..

I think the best thing to do might be to post here to gauge numbers..?

Then if its feasable, we simply just email book in the normal way..

Doug said today that we could run and if the numbers were low, just mix in with the 12th scale nitro, but id prefer an all electric heat or two..
