Default Stick Radio

Just got back into the hobby after nearly 3 decades out and tried using a wheel radio,

I bought the Sanwa MX6, just to see if I could get on with it, and in the main its really good but I had an issue with braking, it seemed to be all or nothing, so I'm looking for ideas,

been thinking I could go back to sticks as this gives 50:50 travel but there don't seem to be much choice in this market.

or get a better wheel radio that has 50:50 throttle and the ability to dual rate just the brake element,

What is peoples thoughts and what suggestions for radios do you have, oh and the budget is prob £250 max preferably a lot less than that if I can get away with it.

Sticks all.the way for me. Came back after 25 years and just couldn't get on with wheel radios. I'm now using a Sanwa Gemini X.

There is a Spektrum DX4r for sale on here....it has lots of adjustments and great features to alter the trigger position and spring strength...good transmitter in my opinion.

Put something in the wanted section Kev, I always get a good response in there.

When I came back I went Sanwa Gemini X, they go for £100 ish with a receiver, then upgraded to Sanwa Exces X, which seem to go for £150-200 with receiver.

Thanks all.

After looking about and having a think about it I have decided to stick at a wheel TX, to be fair I liked the feel of it when I raced with it for the first time last weekend, but I have decided to get a Sanwa MT-S as this has a great feature set, you can adjust throttle trigger position d/r on brake etc, and you can get antenna less rx's for £35 for it,
