Removing old gears from a gear diff
Hello all
I am sure I am not alone in my struggles rebuilding gear diffs. I have an Associated B5M and when trying to remove the old gears I was not able to get the crown gear out of the bottom of the gear diff. Spent about an hour trying different things without any joy. Does anyone have any tips for getting that gear out because I was not able to? John |

Got to try to get something under it, I make a tiny hook out of a paper clip and hook it out

Small needle nosed pliers work as well.

Tweezers with angled ends.
Nick a pair off your wife/partner. open up a bit over gear, grip et voila!
Had same problem with gear diff for Cougar KF. Once actuall drilled a hole in the diff case to push gear out from behind (it was a shagged case in that instance). It is a pain in the proverbials.......

Locking forceps from Ebay, Maplins or bootfair for £1.
Works a treat for me with my SC10 diffs.
