best keep an eye on the forsale section for a set of second hand B4 ones or there was a chap selling a couple of sets of old type (xx4 etc) losi shocks, still fantastic shocks, If I can find them again I will post the link. For your budget they will be the best value as big boars etc start arround £70+

Hi guys!
I have ordered a set of Asso V2-s. Will be getting them next week but it will take a while 'till I will have time to assemble them.
If anybody wants, I will tell here about them once I try them out.

Keep an eye out for a set of Tamiya TRF 'aeration dampers' on ebay. £46 shipped from HK.

I just scored a set of old-style Losi non-threaded (no springs or ball ends) for £5 posted, so keep your eyes peeled.

Why dont you buy real TeamC shocks, they are so much better than the B4's that keep popping out. (thats why they sell them) and so smooth. Just remember to shim the pistons with a 0.2mm shim.

http://www.eurorc.com/product/102/rear-shock-absorber
http://www.eurorc.com/product/101/front-shock-absorber

only 40euros for the whole set

Got these on mine:

http://www.modelsport.co.uk/ansmann-...products/33115
http://www.modelsport.co.uk/ansmann-...products/28324

They come pre-filled and haven't leaked yet - those threaded shocks always seem to burst and leak from the bottom seal for me.

Are they any good?
I really hope that the AE v2 shocks will be as good as expensive.
Waiting soooo much to assemble them and try them out, how big the difference will be.
(BUT
I am affraid that I will have to sell them, as I found miself in a financial deep s**t after a pretty expensive repair to my car (the real one :P ) and some other expenses )
Still I will try them and maybe I will keep them afterwards

I use 3 racing shocks. Mega cheapo but mega good. $25 us fron dinball rc mart so no tax man issues. I use the kit o rings in them and the kit shafts too but this is only because I got mine off ebay for £12 second hand and they came with odd o rings in. I race on astro. They are great.

These ones? They look very Tamiya-ish:

Yep.
They are very very tamiya-ish.
Associated springs fit as well as the ansmann ones.

What about pistons? Same as AE/Losi/Tamiya, or different? Can you tell if the shock shaft is metric (3mm), or imperial (think that's 3.2mm or so, not sure of the inch fraction)?

Think I used the 3 racing pistons. I will check the shafts next time I go up the attick as that is where the buggy is.

Just had an idea - how about FTX Vantage (LRP Blast) big bores? They're within budget:

Was looking at the FTX vantage shocks (plastic bodied) at a local model shop the other week and thought they would be great for the CORE SCT as they seem really long!
Nice find on the alloy version! Might get some of them for the SCT

**edit**
Only thing I see being (maybe) a slight problem are springs! Untill someone gets some
