Default 2.4Ghz can you bind any TX RX

as the title says, I would like to convert my nitro to run on 2.4 as my Tc does also would like a spare receiver for my back up Tc
I have a DX3E system and like the TX, simple and comfy!!!
have had the generic issues with the kit receiver so another make would be preferable if compatible, reasonable and reliable.

Hi there, there are other spektrum rx's that are compatible with the DX3e

Compatible Spektrum Receivers
The DX3E is compatible with the following receivers.
Note: The DX3E operates in 16.5ms frame rate.

DSMSR300 - 3-channel Sport - SPMSR300
SR3001 - 3-channel Pro - SPM1205
SR3300T - 3-channel with built-in telemetry -SPMSR3300T
SR3500 - 3-channel Micro Race - SPM1210

Note: The SR3000HRS (SPM1202) receiver is designed to be used with Spektrum’s Futaba HRS compatible module system only and is not compatible with the DX3E.

DSM2SR3100 - 3-channel Pro - SPMSR3100
SR3520 - 3-channel Micro Pro - SPMSR3520

MarineMR3000 - 3-channel Marine - SPMMR3000

(not sure if that's what you meant tho)

Cheers
matt

I am 99% sure that Spektrum will only work with Spektrum, KO with KO and Futaba with Futaba ... gone are the mix and match days, well at least until the technology matures into having a standard (if that ever happens).

If it's any comfort to you I run a Spektrum module in my KO transmitter and previously ran a Spektrum module in my Futaba transmitter as in my opinion I personally think the Spektrum technology is the most mature / reliable.

I run a capacitor plugged into the bind ports on my 3500 RXs without any issue so far, I might be wrong but isn't the bind port actually the batt port anyway?

(To be honest I'm not 100% sure the capacitor is doing anything)

If I had rthe choice I would be using DSM2 but I don't think their modules have that, it's only their handsets.

I've made a power cap with a 2200Uf cap and with it fitted to the AUX port the receiver doesn't shut down under servo load like it did without, I run my PT from there normally which only leaves the bind port open ( don't want a Y lead if I can help it, keen on neat!)
