Default 12th September 2010

On Sunday the 12th of September Jarrow club will be holding a charity race meeting at Bents Park, South Shields.

Entry fees will be £5 per person regardless of how many classes you are running, all the race fees will be going to 2 local charities, one that helps disabled kids get involved with sport and leisure activities and the other is a stray animals charity.

Also on the day there will be a static full size car show, with hopefully members from a large range of different clubs, everything from classic american muscle cars and hot rods to japanese performance cars.

Upto now the classes we will be running will be:

1/10th 2wd and 4wd
1/10th Trucks,
1/8th electric if enough turn up.

Practice will start at 10am, so people can have a small lie in.

If you are interested in racing at this event could you email your details across to

NESF@live.com

Just so we have an idea on numbers.

Thanks

Peter

Peter

Has anyone said they are racing here?
Tried to email but computer says no
Greg & Nat will be there Nat in 4wd & Greg in either class just let me know which class needs an additional driver

On a side note, this sort of event is where I first saw RC cars many moons ago(Car show at Ripon races). I think for the Jarrow Club if not the North east region it would be a great opportunity to showcase our sport to local people, hopefully some will show the sort of interest i did & start getting involved.
Hope the Jarrow lads & other local clubs support this event as the North East region has not had enough drivers at Regional & club level this year in my opinion & this is a possible introduction for many who were unaware that RC cars can be raced.
So come on lads get signed up, it may lead to better things

Is there a website to enter a full size car?

You need to be part of a club, if you are and they want a show stand email the address above.

Don't forget it's this weekend

We'll be building the track on sunday morning from approx 9.15am,

It's looking like there's going to be a good turnout for the real size cars,
These car clubs have confirmed they'll be there,

NESF

North East Mini Club

Durham Dubs VW Club

Tyne and Wear RS Owners Club

North East Morris Minor Club

North East American Car Club

CF North East

TVR owners club

Alfa Romeo owners club - hopefully bringing the green alfa 75 off top gear.

Durham Mini Club

MLR

Dubs North East

Tyneside American Car Club

Tunedcar.co.uk

So there'll be plenty of stuff to look at aswell.
