501X Drive Ratio
Who has run with the different pulleys in the front and what do you think?
I am looking for what you feel is the advantage to have the front over drive ratio. With a one way diff and the stock ball diff. Most of the 4wd and the ones I have driven in the past are the same front and rear and I am thinking I may run a 36 diff gear front and rear. I have just got the one way front unit and was wondering if I should try it with a 36t front and rear. Let me hear from you if you have tried it. Thanks |

If your running the standard belts you can not fit the 36T in the front as the belt is to short. So you can only run 35T F&R unless you fit the 18/37 set up with 369mm belts the you can run 37/37

I ran 35T front and rear for a while - but at the Euro Champs I was struggling a bit. The rear was loose and I couldn't seem to get it stable on the dirt durface. Hupo suggested going back to the overdrive to settle the car and it worked well, the car was a lot easier to drive.
On a higher grip track then there might not be much of a difference |

Ok,
I think it would be more beneficial if you ran the over-drive in front combined with the one-way. Thus you would benefit from the beter turn in, more pull in the front from the over-drive and lastly, your car would turn into a rear wheel drive down the straight, as the rear wheels start to speed up more than the front and then the one-way would start to coast. Thanks jimmy, thats exactly what I was looking for in a reply.
I was wanting to feedback from people that tried it and what they thought of it. I just got my one-way and before I put it in I was wondering if I should try it. I was hoping there were more that had tried it.
