Rc10 driveshaft lengths
Hi , could someone tell me if the driveshafts on an rc10 are different lengths ?
I have an old rc10 with the 6 gear transmission but I'm fitting the later stealth transmission , Ive got the rear end more or less together and the driveshaft looks to be roughly 4mm too short , could someone with an rc10 running a stealth set up measure they're Shaft please

I think but I could be wrong the stealth transmission is a bit narrower than the original 6 gear. I have the rerelease worlds car I could measure the shafts on tomorrow...but one of the problems with that car is the drive shafts are a little to short, you need to run a few mm of internal shock limiters to stop them popping out.

Hi Fruit,
I have measured my RC10 TEAM CVD driveshafts. Looking at the measurement they are actually shorter. I would say if the dog bone is too short you will need to play with, 1. Spacers on the shock shaft inside the shock to limit the droop. 2. Play with the spacers/shims in the hub to try and push the bone further into the outdrive. As stated you could look at, Tamiya do foam bushes for the driveshafts/outdrives just the same as what Dodgy stated with fuel tube. Hope that helps...... CLICK TO ENLARGE......
