New to these parts
Hi all
Ive just purchased a Himoto Syclone car, and looking online to find any local tracks or clubs that may be worth visiting, and google pointed me this way. Im based in North Tyneside Ive had various cars from child age, but stopped about 8 years ago when I got married and started a family.... Now, its time to get back involved! Thanks Paul |

Hi Mate
I'm not aware of much 1/10th nitro/petrol in the north east I think http://www.maxbashing.com/ deals more with them type of things so may be another valuable resource for you. Seaham runs 1/10th electric 2wd and 4wd buggies and has a sub forum http://www.oople.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=64 there is also benfield which runs 1/10th electric 2wd and 4wd buggies http://www.oople.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=152 and Tyne met runs 1/10th TC's and buggies http://www.oople.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=205 Seaham runs on a Sunday night from 17:45 - 22:00 Benfield on a friday night(not sure on time you'd need to check their section) Tyne met on Monday evening(also check the forum for info) If you fancy getting back to it might be worth popping down to one or all of those venues and see if its something that you could get into all the clubs have friendly, helpful members and are always very welcoming to new comers. hope that helps |

I'm an electric racer myself.
Race mainly at seaham on sundays but will support the other clubs when i can get there. We have a couple regulars at seaham that run 1/8 petrol when the weather is good might be worth popping in to have a word with them |

As Afro says, unfortunately 1/10 IC is very limited c,ub wise in the North East. All the electric 1/10 clubs are looking for new members tho so do get along to one or all of them to see what they're about amn maybe consider electric TC or buggy if you're looking to do club racing. Electric is probably a better bet for your son than IC anyway.
Depends when/what you want to race as much as anything, Seaham (NEAM)and Birtley (Barley Mow) run sunday nights and TyneMet run Monday nights in TyneMet College sports hall, or there's Benfield on a Friday night. Check out their forum's and speak to their members. |
