Default Thoughts on my B4/X-6 shock tower

Hi all...

As some of you may have remembered on my own mid motor car i had my own front shock tower with additional shock mounting points...

Well, i dug it out 2day and modded it so that it looked more reasonable... I need to send some pics to fibrelyte so i can ask about the cost of making it in 3/4mm CF...

What you do you think?

Tah, Tom

I'd use 3 or 4mm not 3/4mm cf

look on their web site for a similar tower then ad £2 or £3 for a 1 off

You may or may not of seen but we have just had a carbon tower made for the X6 (and B4 etc) which mounts to the K Factory alloy mounts. We have taken off shock koles (unused ones) interestingly since we thought 4 was too many and they never all got used (you have added more we see) we have also added material around the top shock holes as a "scuff zone" for when we put it upside down on an abrasive track etc, we have also added two support struts to increse the strength and lastly pre-drilled them for the mounting of a wing like the J Concepts one, see what you think, compare ideas etc, it is on our website in the DMS Partz section, then in Upgrade parts - X-Factory

Thanks for the input...

I want to make more camber link positions aswell, an extra hole and then 2 more above those three... like....

_ -_- _

If that makes sense? its not a final design jus an idea, that way the kfactory alloy parts are not needed...

Ill have a look Darren and see if its worth me making this.

Thanks, Tom
