Tamiya Super Sabre....need some help

Hello, im new to this forum so please bear with me. I posted a thread on the "Vintage RC" thread and got a great response which helped immensely.

I have a Tamiya Super Sabre that I just decided to try to fix and get running. Its been too long! I was 8 years old when I got it as a gift now im 29 yrs old, yeah.....long time.....anyways I remember having problems with it losing its signal, basically it would stop responding and just go.

Does anybody know what this problem can pretain too? Any help would be great. Thanks so much!!

My bro still has his Super Sabres from the late 80's. Great fun.

Loss of signal - could be broken receiver wire or transmitter batteries being to low.
