Mine was the front hole the other end of the rear hinge pin, one of the ones that holds the toe and antisquat block, I removed the screw to take the picture.

Guys I have been producing these skid plates for a few months now over here in the states. They are made from stainless steel. .036" (.86mm) They are very rigid and extremely durable. I don't come on Oople much but frequent RcTech (Bman's 3XNT). Please Pm me if anyone is interested. The first three pics are for RM but I have made a few RM/MM for a few people in Norway and Sweden. The last pic is the test piece for RM/MM. There is more material around the holes up front now. They even held together already broken chassis on raceday......

They look good, i actually made plates exactly the same out of some 0.9mm stainless plate. You may have an issue with the MM ones, i made mine pretty much the same shape, but as you don't use the 2 central holes nearest the front of the plate in MM, only the 2 slightly further back, i found i caught the front edge of the plate and bent it up badly as the support from the 2 screws is too far away from that edge, if that makes sense? I will probably chop mine back to sit much closer to those 2 screws to prevent it catching.

No, it makes sense. I will keep that in mind, thanks. As mentioned haven't really ran into any problem as we mostly run RM and the support goes right to the end of the plate. Thanks again for the heads up!

My Son snapped his on Sunday (+8 RTR,I'm asumming it's the same chassis?), To be fair he is new to driving and did bump it. But nothing that should have resulted in a snapped chassis. His now on a standard Ali. Chassis and will be staying so.

Just looking at some of these breaks, I'm not suprised they are breaking on the rear. There is nothing there.

Copying a design from one material to another is something that happens an awful lot.
But someone dropped a ballcock on this one.
