Default Shorty in 410

Has anybody tried a shorty in there 410 and was there any differences in performance compared to saddles as regards the weight differences?.

I ran a shorty for a bit. Made the car more responsive and I felt more controllable in the air. Try it, you might or might not like it. Just adjust your ride ht. after swapping. Good Luck!

Cheers for that.
I've found another thread on here, about 20 pages in on the same subject. Just thought I'd give it a try seeing as I have two shortys for my TM2.

I only run shorties in my 410. Just with the brass rear weight and 40g of weight stuck on the sides. Car is great. Plenty of rear traction. If anything Im usually chasing steering especially in lower grip situations.

I'm going to give it a try at the next Worksop. Just trying to get it something like as I've not had a 410 since the first incarnation.
I've spoke to Craig Collinson and he says if you want the rear more planted to add weight so putting a shorty in gives you more space to do that.

It's a very tight fit but it goes. I'll post a picture up later tonight. I've had to slightly mod the plastic brace that holds the battery in place so I can plug the connectors in from the speedo. I have Turnigy nano tech shortys by the way.

I know what you mean. I didn't think it would go but with a little persuasion it will
It won't go anywhere that's for sure. No need for anything down the sides to stop it moving side to side.

Only thing I've done is trim the plastic battery brace where the power wires from the speedo go in.
