Default Back to RC and having an issue!

Hi everyone, I used to race Touring cars back in the 40Mhz transmitter days and I have come across an issue with my sons FTX Edge.

He hasn't used it for a while and when we went to use it yesterday and we turn the transmitter is switched on, the motor goes straight to full power. This happens when either the transmitter gets switched on first or the receiver/speedo on first.

The car has a simple on/off switch located above the motor and when the battery is connected and switched on, the speedo has a blue light flashing.

I have been told that maybe the transmitter and receiver have lost their bind but Im not too sure how to fix this. The manual that came with the car isn't much help so if anyone is able to shed some light on this then that would be great.

Thanks in advance.
Paul

Is there a small button near the on off switch too? If not can you get a photo of the ESC, switch and receiver and post them up?

Either the ESC has lost calibration or RX is unbound. Both have differing ways to sort them out.

Ah it looks like a 27Mhz / 40Mhz crystal radio in it if it's the same as the manual, so no binding to do - slim chance the crystals are buggered but doubt it.

Before you do the esc calibration as per the manual, make sure the throttle trim is in the centre too.
