Default DS1015 servo....changing case

I have two DS1015 servos....one works well but case battered....the other one has ceased to work but has a very good case..
The case top and bottoms unscrew easily but the workings seem imposible to get out of the centre, heatsink, part...
Is it possible to get the motor etc out and so change the case..?
Any advice would be appreciated....

You need to unsolder the potentiometer and motor at the same time as lifting out the circuit board. The potentiometer is held in the case with a screw under the circuit board. Not an easy job, I would live with the battered case.

Spot on and I would only attempt it if you have soldered circuit boards/rework or have very good experience as it aint easy.....even on most of the savox ones you need to remove the circuit board to change the servo lead as it fits on the underside and not on the top like ko, futaba etc....
