Thanks Panzer!

@mattr: I didn't get a physical extra prize for winning with the prototype, but the compliments and cheers are invaluable! I'm very greatful for the support, feedback and encouraging words I've received the last three years, not to mention the former sponsorship by Atomic Carbon - I wouldn't have achieved this on my own!

Time for an update!

Over the last three weeks I have finished the actual design work, and I've been working on making the parts lists for the conversion kit, selecting potential parts suppliers and calculating the pricing of the conversion kit.

So, here's a screenshot of what caused some delay in the design work - the design of the rear bulkhead and wing mount:

And of course, an actual overview of the entire car with the bodyshell off:

While I'm at it, and because the wait has been very long, here are some basic details about the car:

- Based on the prototype used to win the MAC Vlijmen Winter Championship 2014/2015 (link to RedRC).
- Excels on low traction and bumpy surfaces, such as dirt, outdoor clay and grass.
- Conversion kit using 3D printed components (Nylon) and Composite plates.
- Suitable donor cars are the DEX210 and DEX210V2.
- The car will accept shorty, saddle and square packs.

More information to follow soon Also keep a lookout on our Facebook page (link).

Awesome car, looks beautiful I have just one questnion, have you tried to make angled suspension axle in rear arms? It seems to be important part of rollcentre setting for semitrailing suspension, which could affect handling a lot.

Thanks for the suggestion! I have not tried that particular setup... That said, it will be possible on the car to make this setup when the 3D printed suspension blocks on the rear are replaced for ones of the Tamiya DB01 that use pivot balls (A12 plastic part on #9005870 or #54039 aluminium blocks):

I did try other setups on the rear end and I can definitely tell that the current lower roll centre works better than the higher alternatives I've tried, though the difference is not night-and-day.

Thanks Janus!

Now for the official announcement from my side: Yesterday I competed with the new car in the Dutch-Belgian Nationals (BNK Series). I ended up qualifying 10th in the A-main and managed to climb up to the 9th spot overall in the Finals!

In addition, a few inside facts:
- This was the first actual race event with the production car.
- The track was astroturf, on which the production car hadn't seen any test miles prior to this weekend.
- The conditions were wet throughout the day.
- This result equals my personal best result in the BNK Series (9th place at BNK 2014 Round 3 - MAC Vlijmen - with the FWD Prototype).

Very good question! We are currently experimenting with dyeing parts black in-house. If we can manage to make that happen, then we can offer conversion kits in white and black. We would probably make one colour our standard colour in stock, the other on-order.

It's worth noting that all white parts can be dyed or spray painted. And if you like white, a clear coat of paint should help to keep parts clean longer.

To adress the question of going white or black, I've decided to make my own car black to see what it even looks like:

I must say I love the white myself, but the black has something very mature, professional going for it. I guess it's a matter of inquiring with the public what they want So please share your opinion!

In addition, here is a first picture of the setup sheet for the FF210:

Setup sheets are often documents where the information is cramped onto a single page. It leaves no room for all the notes and scribbles that share the details that matter. As such, the FF210's setup sheet is divided over two pages to give a comfortable amount of space to work on

Thanks guys! Coming from the white and black Stormtrooper look it took me some time getting used to it, but I'll admit the Darth Vader look is undeniably bad-ass

Dyeing black seems to be a pretty dark art though: it's hard to get consistent results, I'm working hard on mastering it!

Popping in to Oople to see how you were travelling.

I must say, I love your work, it's awesome.

(I'm still playing about with designs for a 2wd buggy)
