We started with 22's and are now running the 2.0's, great cars excellent strength, hence why my son's have them. I have recommended them to no end of newbie's and they all have enjoyed them.
There is a new era of young drivers at Surrey & Hants and they're all running 22's I think once you get them set up to suite your driving style they are very competitive.

Thanks for the replies. I asked the question just out of interest.
I've been running the 22 2.0 for the last couple of months on an indoor carpet track, it goes quicker than the TC02C and Bmax2 I previously ran. The Losi's handling is far more consistent and the shocks are the best I've ever built. It seems as though they are not as fashionable as the other brands in the UK. Local racers would rather buy an unproven chassis. |

I Used to race Losi when i started RC first time around. Then Gave up racing for work/girls etc.
when i poked my head into my local club last year thinking of starting racing again, they all warned me against the 22. Everybody had the same story, that they had tried it, couldn't get it setup right, so moved onto a different platform. Like always i didn't listen as i felt kind of sentimental about the brand, got myself a second hand version 1 to start out with, and haven't really looked back. I picked up a 2.0 for the summer season this year. Most of the club seem to think i would be quicker with something else. But Losi is just my brand. We have two other 22's which regularly run in the club, but I was the only one who raced a 22 in the Wales regional. I would really like to see a few more, especially in the hands of some of the quicker guys so I can bounce setup ideas off them, but unfortunately my region is dominated by other brands

I've run the 22 and 22 2.0 for a few years now and can't really fault it.
They are popular at Norfolk Buggy Club, because of their strength and ease of getting parts and seem to contain everything in the kit that you need to race other than some stiffer front springs and tires. Iin the East of England regional series they are proving as competitive as anything else being raced and equally popular

can call me biased, but I love my 22's iv had 3 now, original mk1, then the 2.0, which was awsome as it didn't have the mid corner wash the 1.0 had and that was all i could fault on it. I was given a prototype 2.0 (1.5) when all my stuff was stolen and again, cant fault it. A lot of people knock the tlr cars. But imo there one of best 2wd cars out there. Probably the strongest on the market. (it took the oople ring of fire to break a rear wishbone on mine)
dr fly, what surface do you run on? If you want some set up help, pm me ill be happy to give advice

my 22 is fanastic to drive but it need lot of setup work to suit my driving style.
I since moved on to different car but 22 is still here on my shelf. it needed few bits to get it running. (waiting for that new steering rank) |

I love the ease of the 22...and they dont break! Plus TLR are still releasing updates for this platform...ie, bellcrank steering and the new 50g brass front pivotpin block. (I sould piont out, I break them for spares)! |
