Default my new 511 including DIY lipo tray ;)

So just about finished the car, now need to start the body. As i dont have an airbrush I might just send it to someone who can do a proper job lol.

From day 1 I decided i wont be doing any trimming of mounts to make lipo's fit so I made this make shift tray out of nylon until the steel ( instead of brass as it was free ) is back from the machine shop. I made a 3d model, printed it 2d at 1:1 scale then stuck it onto the sheet. Armed with a dremmel i hacked away until it fit. Obviously tolerances and dimensions are a bit off on this one but it does the job Once I have the steel one back I'll see what revisions need doing if any then might make a brass one if need be. Fair old gap now between the mount and the 4200 lipo's fitted so think it should be quite capable of taking larger capacity cells.
