Default Anyone have the Re-Released Hotshot???

Thinking of getting for a Crimbo pressie, but looking on the Tamiya website can't see any mention of it supplied with ballraces????

So if you've bought one, does it come with ballraces in the kit????

I think it might come with a couple - but not a full set. I bought a set off Ebay for mine for about 6-7 quid.

Dont think it will be raced though !

Need to get bearing set and some bigger wheels/tyres/motor /speedo Think about a 25t motor will be the limit !

What's needed to fit regular HEX wheels (like DF03 ones) on the hotshot? I've seen it done but don't know how. I've not built mine still but I bought a paint brush to do the driver figure

Yup, thems what you need. Mine were kindly donated from my mates ex-F350 project. I've fitted Keen Hawk wheels and ballraced it, it looks too nice to beat up now!

I think the hexes are TA-53056. Try a google search for F350 Hop Up Wheel Hex, they are £5.99 a set from the UK. As for Keen Hawk wheels I got mine from a large UK shop in the Leeds area at £6.14 a pair. They are considerably cheaper from Hong Kong or Japan but when I bought mine I couldn't find anyone that had fronts AND rears in stock and it didn't seem worth the faff with 2 lots of postage.

Default Suspension

Well the suspension Upgrade Kit came today ! It now has damping.
Bigger wheels and hexes on the way along with a Tamiya RZ 23t Motor. So it might get a run in the 4wd at the next worksop. Its got a GM Speedo and Spectrum receiver in it aswell.
